Quality Assurance at FIBC Silvassa

At FIBC Silvassa, we are committed to delivering safe, durable, and reliable FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container) solutions that meet global quality standards. Our comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) process ensures each bag is manufactured with precision, using the finest raw materials and stringent inspection protocols.

Quality starts at the source. Every batch of raw material—fabric, threads, liners, and fittings—is tested for:

  • GSM (grams per square meter)
  • Tensile and tear strength
  • UV resistance (for outdoor bags)
  • Material purity and consistency

Only approved materials are cleared for production.

Our trained QA team monitors the production process at every critical stage:

  • Cutting: Accuracy in size and shape
  • Stitching: Consistent stitch quality and seam strength
  • Liner sealing: Leak-proof welding for food or chemical-grade bags

Loop attachment: Secure lifting loop fitting for safe handling

Each FIBC bag is verified for exact specifications:

  • Bag length, width, and height
  • Loop height and positioning
  • Spout and discharge features

We also conduct:

  • Load Testing – Bags are tested to hold up to 5x their rated capacity
  • Drop & Lift Testing – Ensures safe lifting, handling, and stacking

Every finished bag undergoes final inspection for:

  • Fabric uniformity
  • Defects like loose threads, tears, or discoloration
  • Accurate printing and labeling
  • Cleanliness and packaging integrity

We maintain complete batch-wise documentation for traceability:

  • Raw material test reports
  • In-process inspection records
  • Final inspection certificates

We follow industry standards like ISO 9001 and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, including food-grade, pharma-grade, and anti-static bag specifications.

Tests prior to starting up production

Fications of FIBCs is controlled before starting the production taking in account the job instructions specified. Before starting up the production the ordinary function of the machineries and plants are ensured and documented. Before releasing the production the following tests are performed and documented using at least one prototype of the design type intended for manufacturing:

  • Design type of Bag.
  • General external condition of Bag.
  • Control of the dimensions of Bag.
  • Condition of the connecting seams, welds and glueing.
  • Condition of the filling and closing equipments of Bag.
  • Correctness, durability and legibility of the FIBC.

We make sure that all the artworks & labels have been approved 2 times; once at the beginning when pdf files are approved by client, and secondly also take approvals of the printed panels to ensure that the print matches the correct Pantone shade colour.

During production the proper installation of the machineries and plants and the observance of the job instructions are supervised in both shifts.

The following controls showing compliance with the design type approval is being carried out:

Kind of controlsPeriod of controls
General external conditionEvery FIBC
Determination of the dimensions1 FIBC of 250, minimum 1 per order
Condition of the glued, welded and sewn connectionsEvery FIBC
Condition of the filling and closing equipments1 FIBC per order
Correctness, durability and legibility of the UN-markingEvery FIBC

The final inspections include the following tests

:

Condition of the sewn, welded and glued connections1 FIBC per order, minimum 1 of 1000
Correctness, durability and legibility of the Bag1 FIBC per order, minimum 1 of 1000

In special cases other test schedules and intervals can be agreed in our factory with the Competent Authority and/or the Third Party Inspector.

Controls 2- Corrective Action Plan

If mistakes relevant to safety occur during production the marking of bag shall be made Permanently unrecognizable by a suitable procedure and such FIBCs shall be precluded from usage as Hazard Goods Packaging. UN Certified packaging.

Completeness And Correctness Of The User’s Documentation

The completeness and accuracy of the documents (approval documents, operation and instruction manuals) is guaranteed for each slot.
